Certified Data Destruction That Holds Up to an Audit

A retired hard drive is a data breach waiting to happen. Improperly disposed IT assets are a leading source of corporate data exposure — and regulators do not accept “we threw it away” as a defense.

FAQ

Data Destruction — FAQs

What is the difference between data wiping and hard drive shredding?

Wiping (NIST 800-88) overwrites data so a drive can be securely reused, while shredding physically destroys the drive so it can never be read again. We help you choose based on your compliance requirements and whether the asset has resale value.

Do you provide a Certificate of Destruction?

Yes. Every engagement includes a serialized Certificate of Destruction listing each device by make, model, and serial number — the documentation auditors and regulators expect.

Is your data destruction HIPAA and PCI compliant?

Yes. Our workflows align with HIPAA, PCI DSS, DoD 5220.22-M, and NIST 800-88 for secure data destruction, and every device is closed out with a Certificate of Destruction.

Can you destroy hard drives on-site at our facility?

We offer witnessed on-site shredding with a mobile process, as well as secure off-site destruction with sealed chain-of-custody transport. Both end with a Certificate of Destruction.
